sam: oh! you! you, put me on the beach!
me: i did?
sam: yeah, i fell the water, and the girl, she was in the water.
sam: she fell in the water, i was on the rope and i fell down in the water.
sam: and you put me on the beach
me: so you were on the rope, and the girl and you fell in the water? what did you do in the water?
sam: the crocodile, he’s not going to get me.
me: a crocodile?
sam: yeah, he opened his mouth, and shut his mouth. he’s gunna get that girl, but he didn’t get me.
me: he got the girl?
sam: no, he was sad … he went home.
me: went home?
sam: yeah, with his daddy and his baby.
me: his daddy crocodile and his baby crocodile?
sam: yeah, he’s not gunna get me.

i think i may have found my new camera.
the Kodak V610

she petite but she packs a punch with a 10x optical zoom and 6mp.
i’ve yet to see any sample shots, but still searching.

my husband is pretty impressed with the bluetooth capabilities
he also thinks the display looks like a psp.

i just love the vintage look of this.
it reminds me of the box cameras

with any luck i can have her by christmas.

I got to make an absolute fool of myself in front of the company (that showed up), and had a blast. it was a fifties theme celebration for the close of our United Way… drive (? is that the right term?). Our group was the only live music, my manager sang Blue Suede Shoes and played guitar, while a coworker played drums. We even picked up a bass player yesterday who is also quite the dancer. We worked up a dance routine in a couple of days and after three practices it was show time. I was fine, not nervous at first, the music was playing while we were getting ready and we were all excited. Then they moved us to the “green room” and with out the music and everyone talking about being nervous, I started getting that way too. Once we got out on stage, the audience just started to blur. I couldn’t focus on one face, so it was as if no one was even watching. Too busy laughing at myself and one of our guys, I didn’t even have to remember to smile. That didn’t make me dance any better, but it did make things a lot easier, faster. Once we were in the audience we cheered along the following numbers, better than the actual audience. It was as if we were on American Band Stand.

And back to work we go…

Everyone left for lunch while I was changing from my costume. A little down, kind of like a crash after the climax, but it’s quiet and I’m able to finally catch my breath.

Relax.
