Saturday was suppose to be our company easter egg hunt and zoo day. I guess since there was quite a bit of rain that morning that the function committee decided not to let the kids get their feet wet? The hunt was slated for next Saturday, Mom’s birthday, at corporate. I think they even said there would be a zoo day later this month so we could enjoy that too. The kids were more excited about the zoo than the egg hunt. I left a few voice mails for friends letting them know, and we made a detour for PetSmart. While we were there we got a call with plans to go to the Beidenhearn Museum and Gardens. I had never been before, so I thought it a great idea. The kids were dressed semi-cute (had to wear the Spiderman rain boots! - but got lots of complements) so this would be another good opportunity for pictures.

She was sure that all the eggs had to be out of the fence. I would toss them back in, she would toss them out.

This morning was the last day for our pastors study class. Angels & Demons, yeah, we pretty much covered it all. It’s been a very interesting class, and very open. I’m not really use to so many people making comments, and asking questions. It was a nice change. Next week, there will be a new class with the education minister teaching. Some couples have been wooed to other classes, I think we are expected to return to the class we came from, but I’m actually interested in our new ministers teaching style. And I think it would be good for PD to take in some fresh ideas. He went to church Friday afternoon to speak with them all about starting a Sunday night class on prayer. PD said that Collin and Ron responded well to the idea and I believe he starts on the fifteenth. He’s been reading a book by Dr. Gregory Fuzzell called How to Develop a Powerful Prayer Life and he thinks it would be a benefit to others as well. It’s not a very long book and he’s almost finished. I’ll probably pick it up once I finish the one I’m on. They also put him as a team leader on the GROW teams (had been talking about him just before he showed up apparently).
The service this morning was moving. I’m not so sure if it was the sermon so much as my own thoughts that went along with it. But, I guess that is how it’s suppose to work, no? Communion is always a soothing relaxing time to reflect. Next week will be our “Resurrection Celebration.” And I guess Easter calls for combined services, Ron said it will be funny to see how people react to other people in “their seats.” I guess it’s a good thing we move around a bit.
Fun things the kids did today…
Libby has learned to make kissy noises. She walks around making them. She’ll make them for blowing kisses, or for real kisses (but a little delayed). She thinks it’s so funny, and giggles every time. She is also a bit more accepting of diaper changes. She’ll come to me with a diaper and I’ll ask if she’s smelly, she honestly answers yes and will lay down for the change, but you have to act quick or she’ll start to get anxious and try to escape. I really hope that one doesn’t last long, because it gets a bit difficult for the smelly ones.
Sam has continued with the spider in his back statement when he wants to have his back scratched. We’re still not sure where he picked this up, but tonight there was a second spider. Daddy scratched for a while and then patted his back. Sam told him to stop or he would wake them up. I really wish I knew where that came from. The first time he said it we thought he was serious and checked his shirt and hair.
