Today’s Daily Word - Bless You

Filed under: Audio, Uncategorized — Bec @ 6:29

I care for others in tender, loving ways. Caring for another person is a ministry of love, and I give thanks for all the caregivers in my life and in the lives of others. These caring people may include parents, grandparents, friends, and medical staff. There are even those whose names are unknown to me but who put their lives on hold to be in service to humanity. These are people who devote their time, energy, and wisdom for the good of all. I also acknowledge my own role as a caregiver. That care may involve a full-time commitment to a loved one or an act of thoughtfulness, such as sending a card to a friend who needs my prayerful attention. I give thanks for the ultimate caregiver, God—the source of all good. It is through God’s presence within us that we care for others with tender, loving ways.

“Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet.”—Psalm 85:10

Woo Hoo!

I’m SO happy about the new school year starting up next week. My sweet boy is going to be so excited, we got the teacher we wanted!!! His pre-k teacher last year informed me that she hoped to be moving back to kindergarten, after her two year tour in pre-k. She requested him, but as of a month ago, neither of us knew if she had him. Well, she called last night and said we needed to schedule a time to come in for pretesting, because she “got her little boy again” and is hoping that “maybe he’ll talk to me this year.” Boy is she in for a surprise! That kid would talk to a fence post if he thought it would listen… actually.. no he’d just talk to a fence post. Which isn’t really fair, because he gets pretty upset with me if he thinks I’m not listening. This morning he had a five minute long conversation with “dad” on a cell phone that doesn’t work. Libby wasn’t too happy about it, she wanted to talk too, so they passed the phone back and forth.

I’m so happy! This has made my week!
